Dear St. Charles Parents,

It’s an exciting week here in the bricks of St. Charles! I would like to share an event coming up on November 13th for potential Preschool and Kindergarten students next year! There is information below that you can share with your friends and family who would make great Charger families. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith, virtue, service, and academics. If you have any friends or family who would like their children to be formed as disciples of Jesus Christ and are looking for a school that will partner with them, I think we would be a great fit! If you think so too, please share. You can also look on your Facebook and Instagram to find postings that you can easily share with other parents.

Do I need to remind anyone that tomorrow is Friday, and it will be HUGE here at St. Charles? Mass with Archbishop Hebda, and our 1st grade saints leading the procession, begins at 8:00 AM sharp. The Vatican Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit will be in Doran Hall. The children will all have the chance to tour the exhibit on Friday. (You’ll have to wait until after school on Friday or 8:30-6:00 on Saturday.) The Archbishop will be touring the school after Mass, and the 1st graders will be blessing the school with their voices as they walk the grounds and sing the Litany of the Saints. At 1:45 PM, the St. Charles staff will take on the 8th grade girls’ volleyball team. After seeing how those girls serve, I’ll be wearing a helmet and a mouthguard. I always look forward to Friday, but this one is going to be epic!

Next week our 6th graders will travel to Wolf Ridge! Keep them in your prayers.

Next weekend is Eucharistic Days at our parish, and there are details about the celebration below and in this weekend’s parish bulletin!

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal

The 3rd graders are hosting the 31st Annual St. Charles School Thanksgiving Food Drive that runs Monday, November 2 – Friday, November 20. The donations go to the Missionaries of Charity in Minneapolis and the Franciscan Brothers of Peace in St. Paul.

  • The Sisters are requesting the following: boxed food, dried beans, white rice, maseca flour, cooking oil, cereal (any), spaghetti noodles & sauce, and any noodles (including ramen). Also appreciated are diapers in sizes 3, 4, and 5, paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex), and personal hygiene products.

God bless your generosity to our neighbors in need!

Fall Sports Wrap Up

Congratulations to all our soccer and volleyball players for a wonderful fall season! We saw so much growth, not only in skill development but also in cooperation and teamwork. We are proud of the sportsmanship and character you showed throughout the season. A special thank you to Mr. Hartnett and Mrs. Seashore for leading our soccer and volleyball programs, and to all of our coaches who spend so much time and energy helping develop our young student-athletes. Way to go, Chargers!  We are so proud of you!

Prayer Partners Still Needed

Calling all prayer warriors! Parishioners and staff have an opportunity to pray for one of our students by name from October to April as our second and eighth graders prepare to receive important sacraments this year.  A “prayer partner” prays daily for a specific student and writes a short monthly note of faithful encouragement to that special person. If you are interested in volunteering, you can email Linda. After signing up, you will receive more details along with the name of your student.

St. Charles Playgroup
