Looking Ahead

Mo. 6.08 Report cards released at noon

Dear St. Charles Parents!

As we approach Memorial Day weekend, we are all ready for a break before we shift into overdrive for the last couple of weeks of school. As we remember those who have served our country, may the Lord grant your family some rest, some time together, and maybe a little time for yard work catch-up this weekend!

Tonight is the spring concert for our middle school, and I can tell you that they are sounding great! The halls have been blessed with beautiful music all spring. This is a night that we all look forward to as staff and parents. Our kids always shine!

We’ll have a 4-day week of school next week, followed by a 2.5-day week. June 3rd is the last day of school for 1st-7th grades. We dismiss students at 11:30 AM, and there is no bus. We are in uniform that day (Mass in the morning).

In the afternoon of the 3rd, once you have dried up all the tears the children have shed because the school year is over, please come back for the Tailgate Party at 4:30 PM! This party will last until 7:30 PM. There will be a food truck and desserts. You can bring whatever you want to drink, and you can also bring your own food if you prefer. The Tot Boss will be parked and ready to sling Tots! More details to come!

God bless your weekend!

St. Charles School Principal

4th Grade Lemonade Stand for Charity SUCCESS!

Thank you, St. Charles parent volunteers and students, for the work you did and the lemonade you bought to make our Lemonade Stand for Charity a smashing success!! We were open during recess five days last week – we brought in $1000 in donations! The 4th graders voted to donate the money to Prolife Across America. We want to help moms and babies in need! Mrs. Angie Johnson, President of PAA, came to school Wednesday to graciously accept our donation. She talked to the 4th graders about the mission of PAA. She reminded us how perfectly formed even very tiny babies are in their mothers’ wombs. What a blessing to be able to give the money for such a great cause!

Thank you families, for your support! We love the Lemonade Stand for Charity – and we are so happy you do too!

Summer Tutoring at St. Charles

Jen Gasik – Is your student struggling with math or reading/spelling concepts? Do you want your student/s to have a weekly “brush up” on skills throughout the summer?  Do you have a small group of student friends who would like to have a summer book club or a 6-8 week introduction to playing the piano? I am available for many fun learning opportunities this summer! Flexible scheduling. Please email jgasik@stchbs.org for more info!

Victoria Paine – I bring the skills of a reading specialist in addition to my regular work with any English subject matter (reading, writing, grammar, spelling). If you are interested in booking a time slot or would like more information, please contact me at vpaine@stchbs.org.

Jeanne Sharp – I am a licensed middle school math teacher, and I would be available to work with 6th – 8th grade students looking for some math tutoring. Please feel free to reach out to me by email at jsharp@stchbs.org.
