We are extremely proud of the St. Charles students and staff who work hard and work together on making St. Charles a place where every child feels safe. St. Charles is the recipient of the Peacemaker Minnesota “Achieving Excellence Award,” which will be presented on September 8th before the Twins game at Target Field.
We received this award based on the results of the Olweus survey our students take at the end of each school year. This survey is a tool that we use to measure the results of our efforts to create an environment defined by our Catholic faith and Christian values. Our religion series, “Image of God,” and our Social Emotional learning curriculum, “Second Step,” are the resources we use to support these efforts. Here is a quote from the Peacemaker announcement:
“Congratulations! PeaceMaker Minnesota would like to present a representative from your school with an award before the Minnesota Twins game on Sunday, September 8, at 1:10 pm.
The award is the Achieving Excellence Award for achieving the best results on the Olweus Bullying Questionnaire compared to national data. St. Charles did better than the national comparison on 10 out 10 indicators, the only school to do so among the 28 PeaceMaker Minnesota affiliated schools that administered the student survey last spring.
We greatly appreciate your commitment to providing a safe and positive learning environment for students.”
