Looking Ahead

Mo. 10.13 - Tu. 10.14 Preschool - 8th Grade Conferences (school)
Th. 10.16 - Fr. 10.17 School Not In Session: Fall Break

Dear St. Charles Parents,

We are T minus 9 days to Marathon Day. If you’ve been waiting for the time to take action, the time is now. Please support your children by speaking to grandparents (best shot!), aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors, relatives, and people you run into at the grocery store. Our goal is $60,000, and this is how we keep tuition down. No family can do everything, but every family can do something. Please have a conversation in your home about sponsorship, prayer intentions, and service projects. Please make an effort to hit that $200 goal for each student! Thank you for your attention, and don’t forget to work on building excitement for the big day!

To begin this year, we had a new counselor from Phoenix Counseling. In most cases, the counselors from Phoenix work at multiple schools. The arrangement with the first counselor did not work out. We have a counselor who is able to be at our school every Wednesday and Friday for the entire year, starting tomorrow! Her name is Joanne Ellefson. She also works at Holy Spirit in St. Paul. She is a very experienced counselor, and I’m glad to have her in place beginning tomorrow. Please look for a greeting from the new counselor in the next week, along with information about how to contact her. In the meantime, if your child has any counseling needs or wants, please contact their homeroom teacher and copy me on the email.

To look ahead, we have Marathon Week next week, then a normal week, then a short conference week. Conference sign-up is out, and the slots fill up quickly, so please sign up right away to get the spot that you want. This is an important touchpoint at the beginning of the year. St. Charles’ parents have a fabulous attendance record at conferences, which is one of the reasons our partnership is so strong. Our strong partnership is why our mission is so strong, and our mission provides hope for the world. Give the world hope! Sign up for conferences!

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

It’s MARATHON Time! ~ Saturday, October 4

The countdown is on—our annual St. Charles School Marathon is just 9 days away! This is one of the most important fundraisers of the year with all donations going directly to our school’s operating
budget to support vital programs. As a quick reminder, the prize drawings that take place on Fridays are completely random for all students who have turned in a minimum of $20 towards their goal.

We are up to $18,000!

Together we’ve made amazing strides—let’s finish strong as a Catholic school community! Every step and every pledge makes a difference. See you on Saturday, October 4th!

MARATHON REMINDERS:

  • Turn in all donations/pledge envelopes, service project forms, prayer intentions, and joke slips
  • Keep those service project photos coming! Email them to Andrea Richardson.

Marathon Day kicks off with Mass at 9:00 AM
