Looking Ahead

Sa. 10.4 St. Charles School Marathon
Th. 10.16 - Fr. 10.17 School Not In Session: Fall Break

Dear St. Charles Parents,

The beginning of the school year has a lot of rules. It is just part of the process, and it helps the rest of the year go well. Thank you for your support in having a system that works. One thing I need to ask, please do not drop your child off in the bus lane. Please drop them off on 27th Ave. per our drop-off protocol. This is being followed for the most part; however, between 7:35-7:40 we still have 1-2 more buses that need to drop kids off. This is when parents begin stopping in the bus lane causing problems and safety issues. Please do not drop off or stop in the bus lane. We need your support on this.

The season of the Marathon is here, and we’re off to a pretty good start. This weekend is a great opportunity to talk about the Marathon with your kids, go over the packet from Back to School night, and determine who you would like your kids to speak to about sponsorship. It is also a great chance to consider a service project for your family or sometimes families get together on these projects. Marathon day is coming up quickly, and we want to hit our goal of $60,000 this year to support our school’s general operations and keep tuition down.

Parent information emails will be going out to parents this evening. Please go through the slides and syllabi so that you have a general understanding of what is going on in your child(ren)’s classrooms. I am working on an all-school presentation including an overview of highlights of the year ahead. This presentation will not go out this evening, but I’m committed to sending it out by September 30th.

We are building the foundation of a strong school year in a strong school community! Please keep your child’s school in your prayers. We look forward to partnering with you in your child’s development.

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal

School Year Reminders

  • Please send a note to school if there is a change in your child’s end-of-the-day routine. If changes need to be communicated after the day begins, please be sure to include the office in any email communications (stchbs@stchbs.org) because teachers may not have a chance to check email during the day. You may also call the school office at 612-781-2643.

  • All children waiting for rides after 3:00 PM will be sent to St. Charles After School Care.
