Looking Ahead

Sa. 4.25 Borromeo Bash
Su. 4.26 2:00 PM 8th Grade Confirmation (cathedral)

Dear St. Charles Parents!

Happy Easter Week! We hope that you and your family had a fantastic Easter. We’re excited to be back together, and we are ready to get back to work. This past Tuesday, our staff attended the National Catholic Educators Association National Convention. This only comes to Minneapolis once in a blue moon, so I’m glad our teachers were able to attend for a day. The conference continued through 1:30 PM today.

The Borromeo Bash is about one week closer than the last time I wrote to you! Here are some things you need to know. I’m using bullets for efficiency:

  • All Bash donations need to be turned in by tomorrow (April 10) at 3:00 PM
  • Come to the Basket Building Party on April 11 (9:00 AM-11:00 AM) in the cafeteria! *You can sneak a donation in at the beginning of this time
  • Check out the grade-level parties online on the Bash site starting Monday, April 13, at noon!
  • Purchase tickets! Or tell some friends to! We’re getting down to limited availability!
  • We need volunteers! Give just a little more, I’m doing it, and you should too, click here: Bash Volunteer Opportunities
  • Support Bash in at least one way, at most, twelve ways!

Next week, on Thursday and Friday, we will have a Lumen accreditation team visiting our school. We have written narratives about how we meet the 69 competencies that Lumen evaluates in Catholic schools across the country. Our visiting team will be made up of principals from other Catholic schools and members from our Archdiocesan Office for the Mission of Catholic Education. We are looking forward to having them in our school to see our mission in action. I absolutely love having people visit our building, and I am looking forward to having the Lumen team here. I’m so proud of our students, parents, and staff, and how we all work together as a community. The accreditation team will offer commendations and recommendations after their visit, and I’m confident they will assist us in our pursuit of excellence.

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal
