Dear St. Charles Parents!

Today is Holy Thursday, and we gathered this morning for a prayer service in the cafeteria. It was an amazing opportunity to pray together as we enter the Triduum and prepare for Easter. Tomorrow is Good Friday, and there is no school. May you find peace as you reflect on and embrace God’s love for us.

After Easter, there is no school on April 6th for Easter Monday. On April 7th, the faculty will attend the NCEA conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This is a rare opportunity to attend this conference in our home city, and our diocese has asked every school to make an effort to attend. This is a three-day conference that our staff will attend on Tuesday. We will be back in school on Wednesday, April 8th.

To recap: there is no school this Friday, April 3, through Tuesday, April 7. We will see everyone back here on Wednesday, April 8th.

The Borromeo Bash is coming up at the end of this month! I’m so glad to see the RSVP list filling up! If you have not registered, keep reading! Here is a sample of what the evening is like. The Bash receives my highest level of recommendation. This is for us parents! I hope you attend. You can register HERE. Don’t miss out!

Speaking of the Borromeo Bash. We are in need of volunteer support to make the evening a success! Please consider volunteering during the Bash. The opportunities are fun, and they will help you meet new people in the community. Volunteer HERE!  Also, silent auction items will be accepted through April 10th, and our build-a-basket day will be in the cafeteria on April 11th from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM (donuts provided).

Mark Kenney was a staff member at St. Charles for 45 years. He left an amazing legacy here that combined a deep faith, a drive for athletic excellence, and genuine sportsmanship. He is being honored by the Catholic Athletic Association on April 21st by being inducted into their Hall of Fame. Please see the invitation below to attend.

I hope that a blessed Holy Week continues for your family. The staff and I are honored to be chosen by you as partners in making disciples of Jesus Christ who strive for excellence in faith, virtue, service, and academics.

Happy Easter!

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal
