Dear St. Charles Parents!

Floor Hockey season is here, and if you’re new, you may be wondering about this tradition. I encourage you to stop by the gym to check out how we do floor hockey at St. Charles. Bring a few bucks for the concession stand; the 5th-8th graders play, but the younger students certainly have their share of fun. Please remember that the no cell phone rules apply to students at this event, and we are keeping concessions in the concession stand area.

The Floor Hockey Raffle is a fun new addition that students can participate in. We are running this raffle in place of asking parents to donate $10 per student toward the Borromeo Bash costs. Students who buy 10 raffle tickets or more get an out-of-uniform pass and 10 chances at some fabulous prizes donated by our fabulous staff. The prizes are simple experiences that may be before school, after school, or during lunch/recess. It could be reading a book with a teacher and having a cookie together or playing a game with a staff member. Please consider this simple and fun way to support our largest fundraiser! More information will come out in the next 24 hours!

Next week is the Parish Mission, which means that every evening Monday-Wednesday, there will be a meal provided (free-will donations accepted for the meal) and a talk in the church with childcare available for children in first grade and under. There will also be Adoration and Confession available. Please see below for more information about the mission and how to RSVP for meals. In the interest of having our families attend, we will have no homework Monday-Wednesday next week! What a great way to lead into spring break.

Conferences are coming up the week after spring break, so please sign up now! Click the link below to secure your conference spot.

Have a great weekend, and God bless you!

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal

  • Preschool conferences will be scheduled in 15-minute time slots with your child’s teacher.
  • Grade K-4 conferences will be scheduled in 20-minute time slots with your child’s teacher.

Floor Hockey Concessions ~ Just a Few More Slots to Fill

Please consider volunteering at the concession stand for the upcoming FUN floor hockey days in early March! We need YOU! 2026 Kids Heart Challenge Wrap-Up

We would like to thank our K – 4th graders and their families for their participation in this year’s Kids Heart Challenge. They did a great job learning about staying healthy, eating right, exercising, and helping others! We were close to reaching our registration goal of having 90 kids register online (we had 85), and close to reaching our “Finn’s Mission” goal of 25 students (we had 19)!

The following students completed Finn’s Mission:

  • In Kindergarten…Harlow E. and Jack L.
  • In 1st grade…Henry H., Sonia N., and Adrienne S.
  • In 2nd grade… Dominic A., Raleigh A., Ruby L., Ophelia P., and Delaney S.
  • In 3rd grade… Evelyn A., John C., Brody G., Edith H., Austin P., and Marvin S.
  • And in 4th grade… Leo G., Anna H., and Aleric K.

Congratulations! We set a goal of raising $8,000… and we ended up raising over $8,850!  Way to go Chargers!

As a result of reaching that goal, Mr. Carpenter and Mr. Kieffer will be “Whipped Cream Pied” at the end of the school year!  The following individuals, as a result of being the top fundraisers at their grade level, will have the honor of throwing the pies:

  • Kindergarten- Charlie J.
  • 1st- Holly K.
  • 2nd- Dominic A.
  • 3rd- Josie P.
  • 4th- Aleric K.

Finally, the following classes have earned an extra day of P.E. with Mr. C.

  • For having the highest percentage of kids register: 3rd Grade!
  • For raising the most money:  2nd Grade!

Again, congratulations to all of you for a great Kids Heart Challenge Event and thank you for your support!
