Dear Parents,

The Mass with Bishop Izen and the receptions that followed were fantastic. I felt blessed to have a bishop visit us to celebrate Mass and offer such a great message for our children. In other clergy news, Fr. Przybilla turned 20 in priest years yesterday! Wednesday was the 20th anniversary of his ordination. You can still wish him a happy 20th at frprzybilla@stchb.org.

The Home & School Council is the heartbeat of St. Charles, and I’m always impressed by how they add fun touches to all our events. Next year, there are a number of positions open, and I would like all returning parents to take a look and consider a role on our Home & School Council. If you have been looking for an opportunity to get more involved, opportunity is knocking right now! See HERE!

Today is our 8th graders’ last day of classes, tomorrow they go on a field trip, and on Tuesday they graduate with a Mass and reception at our church. They have been a great class, and we will certainly miss their leadership next year.

June 4th is the final day of school for the 1st-7th graders. The school day ends at 11:30 AM. There is no bus home that day, so come on foot or join the pick-up line! We will have a tailgate party that evening from 4:30 PM-7:30 PM. You can bring your own food for dinner or purchase food from the food truck (TBD). There will be treats available from our Home & School Council. Please speak to the volunteers handing out the treats about getting involved with Home & School!

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

School Year Reminders

  • Please send a note to school if there is a change in your child’s end-of-the-day routine. If changes need to be communicated after the day begins, please be sure to include the office in any email communications (stchbs@stchbs.org) because teachers may not have a chance to check email during the day. You may also call the school office at 612-781-2643.
  • Please remember that there is NO PARKING on Stinson Boulevard in front of the school area so that all the buses will have plenty of space to drop off students.
  • All children waiting for rides after 3:00 PM will be sent to St. Charles After School Care for safety reasons.

St. Charles Playgroup

Warm weather is here, which means the St. Charles Playgroup will be meeting outdoors at local parks every Thursday at 10am from May through October. Join other parents and their young children for a time to socialize and play. Please sign up at flocknote.com/stchb to receive email updates. Contact Marge Bona at czechgret@gmail.com with questions.
