Dear St. Charles Parents,

It is May Day, it is BASH Week, and I’m all goose bumps! It is time to get online and bid, especially if you can’t make the event. You can also visit the BASH website to make a donation. Those experiencing the BASH for the first time, prepare for the best night of your life! (No offence to weddings and kids, etc ; ) It’s going to be great!

Congratulations to our 2nd graders who received their First Communion last Sunday! Please keep them in your prayers this week. They are very excited about receiving Communion for the first time at school Mass tomorrow morning. Call it their 2nd Communion.

Next week is Staff Appreciation Week, and we are blessed with a super-active Home & School that showers our staff with appreciation for 5 straight days. We are very grateful for our Home & School, and we hope they all attend the Volunteer Appreciation Reception on May 9th! Aside from the Home & School fun, if there’s a staff member you appreciate, please send them an email or a card next week. Our staff especially like hearing from the kids they serve. A Home & School representative will reach out to (Preschool-4th grade) parents on Tuesday to ask for help with getting students to write notes to their teachers. Middle school students will write notes during study hall. I hope you will support your child in sending a note.

Our former Principal, Gary Wilmer, received recognition for his commitment to Catholic education from Pope Francis, very close to the end of his papacy. I was able to attend the ceremony, which was in Stillwater. Pope Francis did not make the trip, but it was great to see Gary and three other outstanding individuals from our diocese who have given their lives to Catholic education receive this recognition.

Calling All St. Charles Volunteers! Please join us for the May Crowning Mass on May 9th at 8:00 AM, and immediately following, we will have coffee and donuts in the cafeteria in appreciation of our volunteers’ service to our school. Some people take theirs to go, and we understand that. Volunteers make the world go round at St. Charles, and we look forward to seeing you. You may come if you volunteer at St. Charles or if you appreciate people who volunteer at St. Charles.

In light of May Mayhem, we are taking the State of the School Address off the calendar this year. This is due to the many activities we have coming in the next week and a half (Family Formation Night, Borromeo Bash, Volunteer Appreciation, May Crowning). Time is at a premium for both parents, and it is at a premium for my staff and me as well. I look forward to sending a State of the School update by mid-June to all parents that will be in the form of a report or a video, and a PowerPoint. Thank you for understanding.

God bless you,

Danny Kieffer

St. Charles School Principal

Borromeo Bash is THIS Saturday!

The Borromeo Bash is almost here!

Please visit the Bash 2025  website and donate to our fund-a-need items: contributing to the Gary Wilmer Scholarship Fund and supporting capital maintenance projects around campus. Please help us reach our goal of raising $200k for our school!

Not attending the Bash but still want to bid on over 150 items in our silent auction? Check out the silent auction and bid HERE virtually! Silent auction is currently open and closes at 7:30 PM on Saturday, May 3.

How do I volunteer for The Bash?

We still have a few slots open for volunteering. You do not have to attend the Bash to be a volunteer!
